1. Research & Shortlisting We start by identifying the most popular and relevant options in each category (flights, hotels, eSIMs, insurance, car rentals, luggage storage, etc.) based on traveler demand, market reputation, and reader questions we receive.
2. Hands-On & Comparative Testing Where possible, our team personally uses the services we recommend — booking flights, testing eSIM data plans, comparing hotel booking platforms, and reviewing travel insurance policy documents. Where direct testing isn’t feasible for every single option, we compare official pricing, terms, coverage, and features side-by-side using verified sources (official websites, provider documentation, and user feedback).
3. Criteria We Evaluate
Our comparisons are built around the factors that matter most to travelers:
- Price & value — upfront cost vs. what’s included
- Coverage/features — what you actually get (data limits, coverage limits, cancellation policies, etc.)
- Ease of use — how simple the booking or setup process is
